Welcome to my jlog. This is where I journal my experiences through running. More importantly, I’m sharing my story of self-growth through my days. What’s your day like? When you wake up in the morning, do you think of your environment, starting from 0, things that will happen that we can never control, a challenge, a goal that’s in front of you? There’s a different answer in every person with one constant. And that is our ability to make a decision every day to be in control of our own lives. This year, I’ve taken on a new initiative to help me in my days and it's helped transform me and the people around me that I love.
The purpose of this platform is for readers and friends to find a valve within that you can turn on. It’s the valve that turns to good or bad versions of ourselves. That’s the most important decision we make each and every day that’s within our control. There is heavy maintenance that comes with keeping our valves turned on to be the best version of ourselves and I hope this helps. It sure has for me. Whatever your journey feels like, or whatever tool you use to turn your valve, I’m here to share mine and listen to yours.
Over the past two years, I have committed to challenging myself in different aspects of life. Marathon running is my training guide to prepare for those challenges by sharpening my skills in resiliency, persistence, and endurance that come with the course. One foot in front of the other, adding on every day what we have in us.
One of my goals is to complete the Abbott World Marathon Majors and I’m using this platform to help raise money for the charities that I run for in the major races that I have ahead of me. They are doing extraordinary things and I’m honored to be contributing whatever I could to help their mission. I hope you decide to join and you can reach out to me any time for an outdoor walk or run that may spark something in your life!
